BR-DE-14fatal

How to fix BR-DE-14

Das Element "VAT category rate" (BT-119) muss übermittelt werden.

XRechnung rule from the KoSIT XRechnung 3.0 schematron (German CIUS of EN 16931). It applies only to invoices whose specification identifier (BT-24) is XRechnung. Such files are checked against EN 16931 and the KoSIT XRechnung rules instead of the full Peppol BIS rule set. Check your file with the XRechnung validator.

What this rule checks

Every VAT breakdown (BG-23) must carry a VAT category rate (BT-119) in XRechnung, although EN 16931 itself makes this element optional. Use 0 when no VAT is charged in that category.

How to fix it

Add cbc:Percent inside cac:TaxTotal → cac:TaxSubtotal → cac:TaxCategory for every subtotal (e.g. 19, 7 or 0). In CII, add ram:RateApplicablePercent to each ram:ApplicableTradeTax under ram:ApplicableHeaderTradeSettlement.
